Shipping policy

Shipping Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

This policy applies to orders placed through the Point Five Packaging website. Shipping terms, title and risk of loss are governed by our Terms of Service, which control if anything here conflicts with them.

Order Processing

Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. In-stock orders placed by 1pm Central on a business day ship the same day. Orders placed after 1pm or on weekends ship the next business day.

Some products have longer lead times. Check the product page or ask your sales manager.

Where We Ship

All online orders ship from our warehouse in Bensenville, Illinois, to business and residential addresses across the contiguous United States.

Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US territories and military addresses can be placed online. We will review the order and confirm the shipping cost before it ships.

Online ordering is not available outside the United States. If you are ordering from Canada or another country, contact us and your regional sales manager will help.

Shipping Methods and Costs

Parcel orders. UPS and USPS rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.

Freight orders. Orders of 10 cases or more ship LTL freight. You will not be charged shipping at checkout. Your sales manager will quote the freight and confirm it with you before your order ships.

We do not offer free shipping.

Additional charges may apply for liftgate service, residential delivery, limited access delivery, inside delivery or delivery appointments. Let us know when you order if your delivery location needs any of these.

Tracking

You will receive a tracking email as soon as your parcel order leaves our warehouse. For LTL freight, we will give you the carrier name and PRO number so you can track the shipment on the carrier's website. You can also view order status and history in your account.

Freight Terms, Title and Risk of Loss

All shipments are F.O.B. Point Five Packaging's warehouse. Risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer when the shipment is handed to the carrier, as set out in Sections 4 and 10 of our Terms of Service.

Delivery

All delivery dates are approximate and are not guaranteed. Point Five Packaging is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather or other causes beyond our control.

LTL freight deliveries require a signature on the bill of lading. Someone must be available to receive the shipment.

Shipping Damage and Shortages

Inspect every shipment as soon as it arrives, before you sign for it.

  • Count the pallets and cases against the delivery receipt.
  • Check for crushed, torn or wet packaging. If you see damage, open it and inspect the product.
  • Write any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt before signing, for example "2 cases crushed." Signing for a clean delivery makes damage claims much harder to resolve.
  • Take photos and notify the carrier right away.

Because risk of loss passes to the buyer once a shipment leaves our warehouse, claims for damage in transit are filed with the carrier. Point Five Packaging will help you with your claim, but does not replace or refund product damaged in transit.

Any claim against Point Five Packaging, including claims for shortages, must be made in writing within 10 days after delivery and include a copy of the delivering carrier's inspection report.
